In a Belfast pub run by Polish immigrant Robert, bar patron Jimmy nurses a pint, waiting.  Jimmy is agitated, and when Ian enters, we learn why: 36 years ago, when both men were teenagers, Ian lobbed a bomb into this same pub, killing six men suspected of being IRA sympathizers—including Jimmy’s father. 

Owen McCafferty has woven together a play that unfolds with an intensity that, in the intimate studio theater of the Scoundrel & Scamp, will immerse us into the world of 'The Troubles'. Quietly raises powerful questions about redemption and and whether even decades later, one can forgive the unforgivable.

BRYAN RAFAEL FALCÓN

Bryan (Director) is Co-founder and Artistic Director at the Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre.  Bryan is an award-winning director (MFA Directing, Western Illinois, 2001) and tech entrepreneur with a passion for both education and building and scaling successful organizations.  

At the S&S Bryan has directed Two Plays for Lost Souls: The Love Talker & The Yellow Wallpaper, Oscar Wilde's Salomé, There is a Happiness That Morning Is and A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay About the Death of Walt Disney, for which he won the 2017 Arizona Daily Star Mac Award for Best Director.

Bryan served as Artistic Director for two Indiana-based theatre companies, New World Arts and the Backporch Theatre Company. He served as a director and set designer for numerous shows, including The Carthaginians, Lysistrata, Cloud Tectonics, Night Mother, Bug, Marisol, Love Letters, Comedy of Errors, Twelfth Night, The Taming of the Shrew, and Romeo and Juliet.

In Tucson, Bryan has directed at The Rogue Theatre, including The New Electric Ballroom and Awake and Sing. He was recognized as Best Director (2012 Arizona Daily Star Mac Award) for the show The Night Heron.

Bryan serves as board president of the Tucson-based Southwest Folklife Alliance, and as a board member at The Rogue Theatre. 

CHRISTOPHER YOUNGGREN

A Tucson native, Christopher (Jimmy) was involved in theater from Los Angeles to New York City for over thirty years, before finally returning home. He was last seen at the S&S as Herod in Oscar Wilde's Salomé. He has been seen in Live Theatre Workshop‘s The Voice of the Prairie (2017 Best Actor Mac Award winner) and Move Over Mrs. Markham (2015 Best Actor Mac award nominee), Invisible Theatre's Indoor Outdoor, Arizona Rose's The Odd Couple and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and several villainous roles at The Gaslight Theatre, from Lord Vader to Lord Voldemort. Big love to Meag and the boys.

Ryan Parker Knox

Ryan (Ian) is a member of The Rogue Theatre's Acting Ensemble.  Some of his favorite roles include Septimus Hodge in Arcadia, Guildenstern in Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead, and Joe Pitt in Angels in America, Part 1: Millennium Approaches. Ryan came to Tucson from South Dakota, after a 10+ year tenure in Minnesota’s Twin Cities during which time he appeared in over 80 productions throughout the state.  Quietly is Ryan's debut at the Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre.

Brian Graham

Brian Graham (Sound and Light Supervisor & Light Design) is a candidate for a BFA in Theatre Production; Design and Technology, with an emphasis in Lighting Design from The University of Arizona. 

Tiffer Hill

Christopher “Tiffer” Hill (Resident Stage Manager & Sound Design) is excited to be entering his second season with Scoundrel & Scamp. After a brief stint as a vocal performance major at the University of Arizona, he began working as a stagehand at the Gaslight Theatre starting in 2012. He continued working there full-time for the next five and a half years at the pace of at least eight shows a week, eventually stage managing 21 productions including favorites such as Arizona Smith and the Relic of Doom, Spider-Guy, and Ghostblasters! Favorites from S&S’s first season include An Unproduced Screenplay About The Death Of Walt Disney, Mr Burns: a post-electric play, and Oaf. Tiffer also served as lighting designer for the 2018 Tucson Fringe Festival and the 2018 Bennett TheatreLab Festival of Plays.
